Cell Processes

We are going to be looking at two cell processes in detail in the next couple of days: photosynthesis and respiration. Tell me everything that you know about one or both of these processes.

  1. I think it is how plants change sun light into engery.

  2. photosynthesis is when a plant takes the energy from the sunlight and changes it into food energy that they use to survive.

  3. I really have no clue about either one so I am going to take a guess... My guess is that the photosynthesis cell process has to do with the cell process of plants and respitaoryu has to do with the heart.

  4. Photosynthesis is when a plant reproduces. This is carried out by parts of the cell. I dont know what respiration is so i cant write a whole lot about it so yeah.

  5. Photosynthesis is when plant cells take sunlight and turn it into energy. Chloroplasts and cell walls are used in the process of photosynthesis. I do not know what respiration is but I think it has something to do with gases.

  6. Photosynthesis is the process of plants converiting solar energy into chemical energy...I think. Respiration might have something to do with the water plants take in. Probably not though

  7. Photosynthesis is the process of plants recieveing sunlight and using it as energy

  8. Respiration: the proccess in which nutrients are converted into useful energy in a cell.
Photosynthesis: plants use photosyntesis to feed themselves and store bonds of sugar. This is all I know about these two items.

  9. chorloplasts in the plant cell are able to create their own energy giving the plant "food" creating photosynthesis

  10. i know that photosynthesis takes place in plant cells in the chloroplasts. i think that it makes energy for the plant. for photosynthesis to occur, the plant needs sunlight and water.

  11. Photosynthesis is when a plant cell takes the energy from sunlight and turns it into food/energy for itself. Chloroplasts and chlorophyll are used in the process. Respiration is when animal cells take in water or oxygen and feood ebergy to live (I think... maybe).

  12. Photosynthisis is were something takes the UV rays from the sun and convertsit to enrgy for the the being. humans use the sun for vitamnin C. plants us the rays for life and to bloom and live for bits of time. that is why if a plant tis in a dark place it will die faster than it would in the sunlight.

  13. Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in the bonds of sugar. This process occurs in plants and some algae (Kingdom Protista). Plants need only light energy, CO2, and H2O to make sugar. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplasts.
