House

Describe what the patient had, and how the nervous system plays a role in his problems (both his inability to leave the house and the medical issues he had).

  1. The patient got shot which gave him goreaphobia. Goreaphobia is when you are afraid to go outside because a certain incident happened. In the patients case, he didn't want to get shot again. The lead poisoning was caused when the bullet started to disolve and went into his hip. This shows how the nervous system can break down after certain incidents.

  2. The patient was an agoraphobic. He and his girlfriend had been shot and his girlfriend died, he said he was always afraid to go outside though, even when he was a kid. After the bullet had gone through him it hid a bone and shattered. The doctors removed the bullet but missed fragments. The led from the bullet that was left stayed in the bone marrow and, after a couple years, started eating away at the bone, causing abdominal pain, constipation, and slight seizures.

  3. He had agoraphobia, which made him uncomfortable going outside, and lead poisoning, which caused his seizures, abdominal pain, and constipation. The lead poisoning was from when he was shot with a lead bullet, which shattered, and when the doctors removed some of bullet they didn't get all of the fragments. House removed the rest of the bullet, which cured the lead poisoning. He had always had agoraphobia, but he was able to go outside because his girlfriend asked him to.

  4. The patient had lead poisoning. He suffered this when he was shot. When the doctors took out the bullet fragments they didn't get it all so it mended into his hip and started to poison his system. He didn't leave the house because he had post tramtric stress disorder which lead him to become scared of the outside world. In the end though house cut his leg open, which he said would only hurt a lot, and pulled out the fragments. He then overcame his fears and was able to walk outside.

  5. The patient had lead poisoning. He got lead posioning from when he was shot with a bullet, this bullet contained lead and the lead was then leaked into his system and infected his intestines/heart. He couldnt leave the house or see people because he had post tramtic stress disorder and agoraphoebia. He had PSTD because his girlfriend was shot and killed, and then he was shot, but he did not die. He was born with agoraphoebia. At the end of the show he starts to oversome all of these fears, and he was healed from his lead poisoning.

  6. Agoraphobia The guy in the had agoraphobia which means he has the fear of leaving his house. He got lead poisoning from a surgery that a doctor had done on his hip and one of the tools broke and put lead all over his system. The nervous system helped him by braking the particles down and killing them on contact. They thought he had agoraphobia because everytime he went outside or moved around it would cause more pain. the end

  7. The patient had lead poisoning. He got this from when he was shot and the surgeons went to get out all of the fragments and they missed some pieces. The pieces that they missed over time dissolved and sent lead throughout his body. It affected his intestines and heart. He couldn’t leave the house because he had post-traumatic stress disorder, and agoraphobia. He had PTSD because some guy shot and killed his girlfriend and shot him in the leg. He has had agoraphobia since he was a kid. At the end of the show, he overcame his fears and finally went outside.

  8. He had a fear of leaving his house which is called agoraphobia. He also ended up with lead poisoning. He got the lead poisoning from an earlier surgery that one of the tools broke and left particles over. The body then broke down those materials and caused led poisoning. He seemed to have stomach cramps everytime he left the house and was in excruciating pain but really it was just that was when he was moving so it put him in more pain. This only happened because the nervous system realized there was something where it didn't belong so it tried to destroy it which exposed the lead. The fear of leaving the house made him lack vitamin d which might have helped.

  9. The patient had lead poisoning in his hip. It was from when he got hip surgery a long time ago and it started to dissolve by attacking the muscle. He didnt want to leave the house to be treated at the hospital. He didnt want to leave his house because he got severe pains in his stomach when he was outside. Then he healed from the lead poisoning and he overcame this fear by going outside.

  10. The patent had agorophobia the fear of being in a situation where one might experience anxiety or panic and where escape from the situation might be difficult or embarrassing, he also had PDSD. This phobia messes with your nervous system in making you think that the outdoors is a horrable place and if went outside he would have sezoiours because he was so scared.

  11. The patient had lead poisoning. It came from a past procedure and the led began to dissolve in his body causing him abdominal pain and build ups in his body. He was also pathologicaly afraid of going outside. That was not do to any medical illness only his own behavior. The nervous system played roles in both. The nervous system controls his emotions and actions. He wouldn't go outside because his nervous system told him not to. The nervous system knew that if he went outside his body would hurt and cooperated with his muscles to prevent it from hurting. After being cured, he was able to go outside because the nervous system sensed no more danger and again cooperated with his muscles to go outside.

  12. The patient had lead poisoning from being shot. His nervous system is affected by this because it has to overcome the pain and affecting his paths of sending messages through his body.

  13. The patient had a led poisioning in his hip. Earlier on in his life, he had encountered in surgery. House relized that the surgery dealed with led. The surgens had not fully removed the led in his body. Soon it attacked the body, shutting it down.
The patient did not want to leave his house. He had had this ever since he could remember, but the led took years to attack. Cameron, House, and the colleges all thought that his symptom was depressents. He didnt want to go outside because it hurt. The patient's girlfriend had just gotten shot and he was shot at. They thought it hurt because he was depressed and couldnt trust anyone. His girlfriend was the only thing pushing him to go outside. Now that she was dead, there was no point.
The nervouse system plays a role because the pain that the led was creating was sending messages to the brain, telling him not to go outside. He said the pain was worse outside than inside. That was his brain thinking that, making the pain worse. The led attacked the body, attacking the brain also.

  14. This patient had post traumatic stress disorder from when his girlfriend was shot. He had a very bad case of lead poisoning. He also had agoraphobia; he was born with this condition and has suffered from it his whole life. The lead poisonings was when he was shot in the leg. There were still fragments left over by his hip bone, he had a surgery prior to this but they missed some of the left over bullet fragments. The agoraphobia affects his nervous system because it now views the outside as a threat and makes it so he physically feels pain. The lead poisoning also created a lot of pain for him in his stomach.

  15. The nervous system played a roll in the patient’s life both physically and emotionally. He was so emotionally stressed at the thought of people and the outside world, that the nervous system acted by creating extreme involuntary reactions, including seizures. The seizures affected other organs in his body, including a heart attack and intestinal blockage. The lead poisoning that he was experiencing due to the bullet in his leg affected the nervous system in its roll to control the internal systems in the body.

The psychological side if his nervous system related to the post-traumatic stress that he was experiencing after being victims in a back-alley shooting, and agoraphobia, which he was born with. The nervous system underwent incredible stress during the anxiety attacks that the man suffered.

  17. The patient had severe lead poising and PTSD from an old gunshot wound. The patient also suffered agoraphobia which disallowed him to go outside. This affected his nervous system in a few ways.
For one his nervous system might have worked against him in the way the nervous system regarded the outside as a threat. It caused him pain to be outside and treated the outside as a source of pain.
That is how I think the nervous system was effected.

  18. The patient (Stewart) was afraid to leave and venture outside his house. He was born with agoraphobia. Due to the agoraphobia, the brain was messed up into thinking that the outside world was to be feared. This is dierectly correlated with the nervouse system because the brain is a part of the nervous system and sends messages to take actions to prevent the patient from leaving his house.

The docters diagnosed him with PTSD, or post traumatic stress disorder. In previous years, the patient had been shot. The old doctors had removed the bullet but had missed some of the fragments. Over years, the lead began to dissintegrate and the patient developed lead poisening in his hip. This caused his symptoms of seizures and constant stomach pains.

  19. Stewart, the patient, is suffering from post traumatic stress which was caused by his girlfriend getting shot seven years ago. Also, he has agoraphobia, which is the fear of the outside or public places. When he was shot several years ago, the bullet remains inside of him gave him lead poisoning. They left Stewart in his home so they wouldn’t worsen his anxiety or physical trauma. His nervous system was involved with his because agoraphobia is a psychological disorder that leads to physical choices; such as not leaving a room, and staying in the house.

  20. The man had agoraphobia, so he was always afraid of going outside since he was a child. Later on in life he was shot and saw his girlfriend die. This increased the intensity of his PTSD so that he could not leave his home. When he leaves his house he has stomach pain from the lead poising that he got from the bullet. He is now learning to overcome his fear after being cured of the pain.

  21. Stewart had agoraphobia which is when you are afraid of the outdoors, along with being extremely uncomfortable with embarassing or akward situations. He also had Post-Tramatic-Stress-Disorder, after he witnessed his girlfriend be shot and killed. The medical issue he had was lead poisoning from also being shot several years ago. Not all the bullet fragments were removed and now he was suffering from the side effects. The nervous system played a key role in all of his problems. For agoraphobia all of his sense being stimulated causes his heart to beat rapidly. PTSD was caused by him remembering and reliving his tragic memories. The lead had imbeaded in his organs that are apart of the nervous system.
